Those of you who once used or are still using a typewriter know how frustrating a typewriter with a missing key can be. The story is told that an airline employee wrote to his company’s house magazine asking why so much emphasis was placed on individuals. The following is the reply he received:

Somxtimxs it sxxms to mx that our group is somxwhat likx my typwritxr, not all thx kxys arx working propxrly. You may say, “Wxll, I am only onx pxrson, it won’t makx much diffxrxncx. But you sxx, to bx xffxctivx thx group nxxds the activx participation of xvxry pxrson. So the nxxt timx you think you arx only onx pxrson and that your xffort is not nxxdxd, rxmxmbxr my typxwritxr and say to yoursxlf, “I am a kxy pxrson and am nxxdxd vxry much.”
